  • Welcome to UUJCC!
  • Hey you found us!

Thanks for checking out our page, you can also find us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/groups/uujcc

The canoe club is a social club with a bit of kayaking on the side we have a very welcoming community and would love for you to come try out the sport, if you are already a pretty mean kayaker we would love to hear from you too!

The Canoe club operates from the Jordanstown Campus but is open to all students in the University of Ulster, our main focuses for this year will be on Polo and river running with other surf and canoe trips in-between.

Our main competition every year is the Irish Intervarsaties which involves every university in Ireland competiting in a number of kayaking disciplines from Long Distance to a Polo Tournament. We are soon to start a friendly Northern University Tournament with Queens University Belfast.

Pool Sessions begin First Semester at the beginning of October, and will continue every Tuesday until the rivers are suitable.

Every Tuesday we meet meet at 7.00 PM behind the Nibec Building (Number 23 on the map) near block 16 to load gear and boats at the sheds.

All you need to bring for the pool sessions is your swimming gear, wash kit and a sense of humor!

The session runs until 10, and we will be returning for around 10.30 or 11 each night unless you fancy a spell down the local!

If you would like to Know anything else feel free to contact us here or on the FB page

    All the best!

  • Hi guys, welcome to UUJCC
  • Glad you could join us, time for some water based fun

Sessions continue every Tuesday at The Shankill Leisure Centre.

Usual arrangements are to meet us at the sheds behind the Nibec building on campus (No. 23 on the map) by 7.30pm to load boats and gear. (Sessions start at 8pm sharp at the leisure centre).

You just need the usual swimming gear, trunks/swimsuit and a towel, and that's it!

The session runs from 7 to 10 and we head back to Jordanstown after if you need a lift. Social event in a pub somewhere after if you can handle it.

Lots more trips and events coming up over the next month or two (2 Star training and assessments, Freshers Halloween Trip and the Irish Intervarsaties).

If you've any questions just ask here.
